After 5 days of logging, Skintrics analyses your entries and looks for statistical correlations between things you logged (foods, stress, pets, medications) and days when you experienced flares. If a particular exposure appears significantly more often before flares than on clear days, it's flagged as a suspected trigger. This is correlation, not diagnosis — it's a starting point for investigation, not a confirmed answer.
Pattern detection needs a baseline. With fewer than 5 days of data there isn't enough information to reliably identify correlations — any result would be statistically meaningless. 5 days gives us enough to establish your baseline flare rate and start comparing it against your exposures. The more you log, the more accurate and reliable the analysis becomes.
Weather data requires location permission. Go to your iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Skintrics, and make sure it's set to "While Using the App". Then open the Log screen again and the weather card should populate automatically.
All your data is stored locally on your iPhone only. It never leaves your device — we don't upload it, store it on servers or share it with anyone. Skintrics has no backend database. Your skin diary is entirely yours. You can read more in our Privacy Policy.
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by Skintrics. To cancel: open your iPhone Settings → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → Skintrics → Cancel Subscription. You'll keep access until the end of your current billing period. We don't offer refunds for partial periods but you're welcome to email us if you have a specific concern.
Go to Profile → Restore purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you used to purchase. If it still doesn't restore, email us at hello@skintrics.app and we'll sort it out.
Unfortunately no. Because your data is stored locally on your device and never uploaded to a server, deleting the app permanently removes all associated data. We recommend using the Export feature in Profile → Export my data regularly to keep a backup of your logs as a CSV file.
Go to Profile → scroll to Danger zone → Delete account. This permanently deletes all your data and cannot be undone. Make sure to export your data first if you want to keep a record. After deletion you'll be taken back to the onboarding screen.
GP export is a Premium feature. Once subscribed, go to the Trends tab → GP Export. You'll need at least one log entry to generate a report. The PDF includes your severity breakdown, suspected triggers with correlation bars and a condensed day-by-day log. You can share it directly to your email, print it or save it to Files.
No. Skintrics is a personal tracking tool, not a medical device. The patterns and correlations it identifies are statistical observations based on data you enter — not clinical diagnoses. Always consult your GP or dermatologist before making changes to your health routine based on what you find in the app.
