1. Acceptance of terms
By downloading or using Skintrics, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Skintrics is provided by Farezy Limited, a company registered in the United Kingdom ("we", "us").
2. Description of service
Skintrics is a personal skin tracking app. It lets you log your skin and exposures, scan and score foods and skincare products against your condition, log meals by photo, detect statistical patterns, view environmental information, and generate reports. It also includes an optional Community feature (discussion groups) and lets users contribute product information. The app is available on iPhone via the Apple App Store.
3. Medical disclaimer
Skintrics is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or health condition. The information and patterns it shows are based on data you enter, product data from public and user-contributed sources, and automated analysis. They are for personal informational purposes only.
Nothing in Skintrics constitutes medical advice. Correlations, product scores and insights are statistical or informational observations. They do not confirm allergies, intolerances or any medical condition, and product ingredient data may be incomplete or inaccurate. Always check the packaging.
Consult a qualified GP, dermatologist or allergist before changing your diet, medication or skincare routine based on anything in Skintrics. If you are experiencing a severe allergic reaction, anaphylaxis or any medical emergency, call 999 immediately. Do not use this app in place of emergency medical care.
4. User accounts
Skintrics uses Sign in with Apple. You must have an Apple ID to create an account and are responsible for the security of your device and account. You may delete your account at any time from within the app. Account deletion permanently removes locally stored data and cannot be undone.
5. Subscriptions, free trial and payments
Skintrics requires a Premium subscription to use the app. Subscription details:
- New subscribers may be offered a 7-day free trial. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, your subscription begins and your Apple ID account is charged the price shown at sign-up.
- Plans, prices and any introductory or promotional offers are shown on the subscription screen and in the App Store. Prices vary by region and may change; changes will be shown by Apple before they apply to you.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription any time in your Apple ID account settings. Cancelling during a free trial stops you being charged.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies. We do not provide refunds for partial subscription periods.
6. Community and contributed content
Anything you post in the Community, including threads and replies, or contribute to our product database, including product names, brands, barcodes, ingredient lists and photos, is user-generated content that you are solely responsible for. By posting or contributing you confirm the content is your own or that you have the right to share it, and you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, review, modify for accuracy and display it within the app to other users as intended by the feature.
You agree not to post or contribute content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, medically dangerous (such as encouraging harmful health practices), false or misleading, or that impersonates another person or infringes someone else's rights.
We may review, edit, reject or remove content, restrict a user's ability to post, or suspend or terminate an account at our discretion, including in response to reports or violations of these terms. We are not responsible for the accuracy, safety or reliability of content posted by other users, and no Community content should be treated as medical advice regardless of who posts it. You can report or block users in the app, or contact us using the details in Section 14.
7. Acceptable use
You agree to use Skintrics only for lawful personal purposes. You must not:
- Reverse engineer, decompile or extract the source code of the app
- Use the app for any commercial purpose without our written consent
- Scrape or bulk-extract data from the app, Community or contributed product database
- Attempt to circumvent security, usage limits or access controls
- Use the app in any way that could damage, disable or impair its functionality
8. Intellectual property
Skintrics and all associated content, features and functionality are owned by Farezy Limited and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive licence to use the app for personal purposes only.
9. Data and privacy
Your use of Skintrics is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
Skintrics is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.
We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any information in the app, including trigger correlations, pattern analysis, product scores, ingredient data, AI-generated reports and meal analysis, or Community content.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Farezy Limited and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including health decisions made based on app data, product scores or Community content. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.
12. Changes to terms
We may modify these terms at any time. We will update the date at the top of this page when changes are made. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have in your country of residence.
